Shade, structure, and style: the upgrade that makes a backyard feel designed.

Texas sun is wonderful for pools and merciless for patios. A custom pergola fixes the equation: filtered shade that keeps the light, a defined space that organizes the whole yard, and architecture that makes everything around it look more intentional. Bliss Pools designs and builds pergolas across Magnolia and Montgomery County.

Enhance Your Backyard with Functional Shade

Three Styles, Built Around Your Space

Pergolas are one of the most versatile additions to any outdoor space, offering both shade and architectural interest. At Bliss Pools, we design and install custom pergolas using high-quality materials, including wood, metal, and shingled structures. Each pergola is built to complement your home and outdoor layout while providing a comfortable place to relax or entertain.

Wood: warm, classic, and endlessly adaptable to traditional homes
Metal: clean lines and low upkeep for modern backyards
Shingled: a roofed structure that reads as part of the house, with the most weather protection of the three

Every pergola is custom-built to complement your home and integrate with patios, pool decks, and seating areas.

Why Custom Pergolas Work So Well in Montgomery County

Partial shade with airflow: cooler comfort without losing the open-air feel
Defines outdoor rooms, making the layout feel structured and intentional
Adds a custom, high-end look and property appeal alongside pools and hardscape

Pergolas pair beautifully with outdoor kitchens (shade for the cook) and fire features (an evening room under the beams).

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When we purchased our home we knew we would be dropping a pool in the ground and had a vision. After talking to several pool builders Bliss was the only one who understood that vision and did a phenomenal job bringing it to life. Not only did they get the vision right, they also did it quickly enough that we are able to enjoy it for another few weeks before it gets cold.

Jeff walked us through color choices and was very patient with my ever changing mind. I am so happy I took his advice on the waterfalls and pebble. We love our pool, day and night. The soothing waterfalls and the beautiful pebble color along with the changing lights made our oasis complete. At night everything shines. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our experience with Bliss Pools has been exceptional. We first met Jeff Watkins before we purchased our home. With no obligation and knowing it would be at least 1-2 years before starting our pool, he prepared a detailed custom design. Once we moved into our home, 18 months later we contracted Bliss to build the pool and wow, it turned out fantastic!

Jeff was always honest and flexible throughout the construction process. He listens and works with you and honors reasonable requests. He truly cares and prides himself on customer satisfaction. If something isn't right, he will do his best to fix it. He has tremendous integrity and never once did he do anything to deceive us. From my past experience with building pools (this is my 3rd), that is the key trait for us that sets Bliss apart from the rest.

If we were to repeat the process, we would absolutely use Bliss Pools again! We highly recommend Jeff Watkins and Bliss Pools.

They communicated clearly about every aspect of the project upfront and worked closely with us to design a beautiful pool that fit within our budget.

Their team handled everything, including submitting the application to our HOA and guiding the project through the approval process. The entire staff was wonderful to work with, and we truly could not be happier with the finished pool. We are thoroughly enjoying it and would highly recommend Bliss Pools to anyone considering building a pool!

Aaron, the project manager, and Jeff the owner has been outstanding from the very beginning of our pool build. They have gone above and beyond to take care of me and my family throughout the entire process.

Building a pool can be stressful, but Aaron and Jeff made everything easy.
